At Jamie's Catering we have put together a list of questions that are frequently asked by our previous clients when they were planning their events. If you have a concern or question that you don't see addressed here, feel free to contact us via email or through our website.
Q: What areas do you service?
A: We are a leading catering & events company based in Berkshire on the Slough Trading Estate and we provide catering for a whole host of corporate & private clients across Berkshire, London & the Home Countries.
Q: Is it just the catering that you do?
A: At Jamie’s we can want to offer as much as we can to create your special event such as: table hire, marquee hire, glassware hire, bar hire, staff and much more!
Q: Will you be able to work in our kitchen? It’s rather small!
A: Of course! Our chefs are highly skilled to work in all conditions. We are adaptable and flexible to accommodate your needs.
Q: Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
A: Absolutely! At Jamie’s we are an All-inclusive catering business and we cater for everyone’s taste buds and needs.
Q: How long can you hold a proposed date?
A: As soon as you get your deposit down, we will make sure that we clear everything and prepare for your specific date with you!
Q: How long can you honour a quote for?
A: We usually hold a quote for a month. We are kind and fair here so running over this time may not affect it but we can’t promise that the day doesn’t’get booked out so that is why we recommend getting your deposit sorted as soon as possible.
Q: Can you refund us if a guest cancels at short notice?
A: Unfortunately we don’t refund if a guest cancels. Once you confirm the final numbers, we start all the preparation for your big day!
Q: Is it possible to try your food before booking with you?
A: We encourage this! We can book you in for a tasting so that you can select the best menu for your day! This comes with a small fee but we will deduct this from your final booking cost!
Q: What payments structures do you have in place to allow us to book in immediately?
A: For wedding events we ask for a 25% Deposit is taken to secure your date. 50% three months before and final payment two weeks prior to your Day! Alternatively we can accept full payment on the day that you book with us! We are flexible so please let us know which best suits you!
Q: Can I tailor the menu?
A: We have such a fantastic range of menu ideas and dishes. Please refer to our online menus to see which dishes suits you best. We are open to ideas and tweaks and can organise tastings!
Q: Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?
A: Absolutely, please speak with one of our event coordinators and they will be able to identify the vegetarian and vegan options that we offer.
Q: If I want to have canapés for example but only just do not meet the minimum requirements would you still be able to cater for me?
A: It would depend on many factors but always call first to check if we can.
Q: Once we have booked in with you, who do we need to contact?
A: We have a great team but you will be allocated a first point of contact so that you don’t have to worry! We make sure that we check in with you regularly so that we can make your day as stress free and successful as possible.
Q: Do we have any further meetings in the run up to our big day?
A: We will make sure that you feel as comfortable as possible. We will check in frequently but face to face meetings are encouraged!
Q: Where do you source your staff and are they appropriately trained?
A: All of our staff have the required skills and training to make sure that your days goes smoothly and without a hitch! We have an in house event coordinator to make sure the team is running smoothly and that everyone is enjoying the day!
Q: We would like a cash bar in the evening. Is that something you could do?
A: Yes certainly- please refer to our Bar Hire page on our website, full information will be found there.
Q: Do you charge corkage?
A: That’s all included in you waitressing staff hire cost so no need for screw top!
Q: What Child Friendly options do you supply for younger party members?
A: We have a whole range of options for kids! Breaded Chicken Goujons, Chips and Beans, Fish & Chips or Sausages & Mash are a few trusted favourites! This all can be organised when tailoring your menu.
Q: When do we need to confirm final numbers and menu choices?
A: At Jamie’s we understand that numbers are likely to be changing frequently running up the big day but it’s important that everything is set to go by 2 weeks preceding to your big day.
Q: Can we offer options to our guests?
A: Of course! We do need to have final numbers confirmed as soon as possible but we can chop and change your menu up, two weeks prior to your day!
Q: Can you provide a hog roast or BBQ for our main meal or evening food?
A: This is a popular choice and something which we love to do! Please ask the team for more information as we offer and whole range of different food ideas for the wedding breakfast and evening reception! But you can have these options as a wedding breakfast and/or evening food.
Q: Do we supply wedding cakes?
A: At Jamie’s Catering we like to focus on making top quality food. The cake is something we recommend sourcing from a specific wedding cake business.
Q: Will you be able to cut and serve our cake?
A: Of course! We will help out wherever we can and also ensure that the cake topper is kept safe as a memento of your special day!
"Thank you to you and the team for a wonderful evening on Saturday. The food was really delicious and we had lots of lovely comments - the lamb and steak in particular were wonderful and the lemon tarts were fantastic - and huge! The profiteroles were polished off later in the evening and with a household of people staying yesterday the fridge now looks remarkably empty! It was so nice not to have to worry about anything during the evening and just enjoy it ourselves.”
